Five Don’ts of Stone Material Protection

Do not Wash it Directly

Natural stone material , the same as the natural wooden material, can  breathe as a porous material, which is easy to absorb water or can be intruded by pollutions that dissolved by water.through the pollution of water-soluble and intrusion. Stone absorb so much pulution that it can lead to some pathologies, such as broken, weathered, fallen-off, yellow and rusty. So we should avoid washing the stone material directlt.

Do not Get close to the Non-neutral Items.

All the stone materials are afraid of acid-base. Acid, a common cause of the granite in the oxidation of pyrite material phenomena leading to vomit yellow.acid can dissolve the calcium carbonate marble contains leading to the furface problems. Alkali can break the Feldspar and quartz so tat the graints wil  fall off. Therefore, non-neutral items are the main reason for the breaking surface.

Do not Wax at Will

There are so many waxes such as waterborne wax, oil wax and Acrylic Wax, etc. All the waxes contain the acid-base materrials. It can block the stone’s breathing, and absorb the dusts, so the surface goes yellow.

Do not Use Non-neutral Cleansers at Will

In order to clean it fastly, we usually use the acid or alkali cleansers. If we use the cleansers, the surfaces of stone material will be broken. The remains of the non-neutral cleansers lead to the pathologies.

Do not Cover Them with Carpet or Something else

In order to make the stone breath smoothly, we should avoid covering the stone with carpet or something else, or the moisture can’t go out throug the stone pores. Thus the pathologies happen. If it  has to cover carpet or something else, remember to clean often.
